Ellie Sachs is an artist whose work prizes humor and interaction — she is interested in democratizing art and making it more accessible.   Recent projects include a collaboration with Planned Parenthood -- a dystopian futuristic exhibition, Museum of Banned Objects. She also recently completed a remake of Annie Hall starring senior citizens. She frequently works closely with artist, Matt Starr.


Ellie is an affiliated artist with Rehabilitation Through the Arts where she has directed and acted alongside inmates at maximum-security prisons. She has a background in developing new plays and has worked at Clubbed Thumb, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Playwrights Horizons, amongst others.  She likes to act in funny things, too.

Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, and The Guardian, amongst others.
